Security bollards in Seattle for buildings or storefronts
A bollard is a fixed steel post, set in concrete, in front of an entrance, storefront glass, a dock door or a utility. We install safety and security bollards and parking bollards for businesses in Seattle and across King and Snohomish Counties.

What we do Lay out a row between the stalls and the glass, core the slab or walk on your property and set each steel post in its own concrete footing.

Six parts of a fixed bollard installation
A bollard is only as good as what holds it in the ground. Pick a number to see each part and what we do.
Steel post
A length of heavy steel pipe. Part of it stands above the sidewalk and the rest is buried in the footing, so the post and the concrete act as one piece.

Our workInstallation and repair
Fixed bollards set new, and posts that were hit
Most bollard work is new installation: fixed steel posts set in concrete where a vehicle could reach the building. A post that leans or is loose is reset in a new footing, and the post itself can often be reused.

Bollard questions we hear most
Not on the list? Call and ask. A person answers.
Call 425-776-5162What is a security bollard?
A fixed steel post, filled with concrete and set in a concrete footing in the ground, in front of an entrance, storefront glass, a dock door or a utility. Some people call them safety bollards, parking bollards or cemented posts. They are the same thing.
Will a bollard stop a car?
A fixed bollard is a physical barrier, and a post set in a footing resists far more than one bolted to the surface. No post can be promised to stop every vehicle at every speed. Tell us what worries you about the site and we will say plainly what a row of posts can and cannot do.
Do you supply the bollards as well as install them?
Yes. We provide the steel posts and install them, and estimates are free. Call 425-776-5162 or send the request form and tell us what needs protecting.
Can you replace a bollard that was hit?
Yes. A bent post or a footing broken out of the slab is cut out, and a new post is set in a new footing. A post that only leans or is loose is reset in a new footing, and the post can often be reused.
Do bollards work with folding gates and storefront doors?
They do different jobs. A gate or a locked door keeps people out after hours. A row of posts is there to keep vehicles back from the glass. We install folding security gates and storefront doors too, so all three can be planned together.
